Widespread in Guinea, Ivory Coast and Gabon, the undifferentiated sapwood is yellow when fresh and then fades to greenish yellow during drying.

It is a wood with a medium-fine texture, it can present some difficulties during processing and drying must be done using hot air ovens. It is used in heavy woodworking, vehicle walls and interior furnishings.
